Cult of less

Some weeks ago, I’ve found an interview in a popular german magazine (Spiegel) with a young man who sold almost all his belongings and initiated the Cult of Less. It’s not really a new idea and he probably still owns more things than many other people I know. But the fact, that the magazine reported about him, shows that a “simple lifestyle” is (or still is? or does it become?) part of popular culture. In certain environments (especially related to people who work in the field of software engineering) it seems to be fancy to own almost nothing (except their hard disks…).
