Public School

Katti told me yesterday about Public School and I like the idea of it: it’s basically a platform in the internet where everyone can propose classes (either what you want to learn or what you can teach). If enough people are interested in the class, the “school” finds a teacher (or the group learns by themselves by sharing their individual knowledge) and offers classes to those who signed up for it. Katti also told me that she met wonderful people through this platform to help her with the Oven-building workshop.
THE PUBLIC SCHOOL is not accredited, it does not give out degrees, and it has no affiliation with the public school system. It is a framework that supports autodidactic activities, operating under the assumption that everything is in everything.
Great! So far there exist schools in Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, Durham, Helsinki, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Philadelphia, San Juan. Would be great to have one in Oslo as well, wouldn’t it? :-)
